Chinaonrightpathofdevelopmentoverpastdecade,nofairobservercanignore_GuangmingOnlinePhototakeninMarch,2019showstheviewoftheHorgosPortinnorthwestChina'sXinjiangUygurAutonomousRegion.(Photoprovidedby"ForgingAheadintheNewEra"Exhibition)The20thNationalCongressoftheCommunistPartyofChinaisheldataverycriticaltime,astheworldiswitnessingmanycrushingcrises.Meanwhile,noobservercanignorewhatChinahaswitnessedduringthepreviousperiod,andhowtheChineseleadership,representedbyPresidentXiJinpingandtheCommunistPartyofChina(CPC)CentralCommittee,hasprovenChina’sabilitytonotonlyovercomeitsownobstacles,butalsotohelpothercountries,especiallythedevelopingones.The20thNationalCongressoftheCommunistPartyofChinaisaveryimportanteventataverycriticalmoment.TheChinesepeopleandthewholeworldanticipatetheeventsofthe20thCPCNationalCongress,whichwillestablishChina’sdevelopmentstrategyinthecomingfiveyears,howtheCPCwillmanagetheinternationalissuesandhowtheCPCwillhandleChina’sinternalissues,especiallywithChinesepeople’sgrowingconfidenceinthepoliticalleadershipandthePartythankstotheunprecedentedachievementsthecountryhasachievedonallfrontsinthepast10years.Thewholeworldwillcloselymonitortheresultsofthe20thCPCNationalCongress,becauseChinaisconsideredthedriverofglobaleconomicdevelopmentandthebiggestmanufacturerintheworld.Moreover,ChinahasbecomeanimportantandessentialplayerinregionalandinternationaleconomicarenasafterthepoliciesadoptedbytheCPChaveproven,athomeorabroad,verysuccessfulinallsectorsthroughthepast10years.TheinitiativesproposedbyPresidentXi,includingthe“BeltandRoadInitiative”,the“GlobalSecurityInitiative”,the“GlobalDevelopmentInitiative”anda“CommunitywithaSharedFutureforMankind”,havebeenthelaunchingplatformforCPCpolicies.Alltheseinitiativeshaveturnedintoeffectiveactionplans,notonlyforChinabutalsoforthewholeworld.“BeltandRoadInitiative”:a“lifebelt”formanycountriesaroundtheworldAmidsuccessiveeconomiccrisesstrikingmanyregionsoftheworld,the“BeltandRoadInitiative”Xiproposedin2013duringhistriptoCentralAsia,specificallyinKazakhstan,hasturnedintoa“lifebelt”formanycountriesaroundtheworldthathavejoinedtheinitiativeandparticipatedinitsgiganticinfrastructureandtelecommunicationprojects.OtherideasofXihavebeenmaterializedintoconcreterealitiesfeltbythepeopleoftheparticipantcountriesalongthelandandmaritimecorridorsoftheinitiative.Morethan100countrieshavejoinedtheinitiativethatincludesover2,600projectsworthmorethan$1.3trillion,aswellasmorethan200cooperativedocumentsbetweenChinaandtheparticipantcountries.Thus,the“BeltandRoadInitiative”hasturnedintoagiganticeconomicrealitylivedbythoseparticipantcountriesthatnowholdtoitssupportandpromotion,whileothernon-participantcountriescloselyfollowtheinitiativeandseektojoinit.IthinkChinahasaccomplishedmanybrightandsuccessfulpartnershipswithmanycountriesthroughthe“BeltandRoadInitiative”.AmongthoseisEgypt,whichhaseffectivelyparticipatedinthemaritimeprojectsoftheinitiativethroughtheSuezCanalandthegiganticprojectscarriedoutbymajorChinesecompaniesintheNewAdministrativeCapital,theNewAlameinCityandtheSuezEconomicandTradeCooperationZone.Alltheseprojectshavewitnessedbigboomsinrecentyears,chartingandmaterializingtheChina–EgyptcomprehensivestrategicpartnershipandthestrongtiesbetweenPresidentXiandhisEgyptiancounterpartAbelFattahEl-Sisiintoaconcreterealityandcementingthecooperativetiesandpartnershipbetweenthetwocountriesinallsectors.Despiteattemptsofmanycountries,especiallytheUnitedStates,tohurdleChina’sprogressandtomountpressuresonChina,theCPChasmanagedtoovercomeallthesehardshipsandtheprudentChinesediplomacyhasmadebigstridesinenhancingChinesetieswithvariouscountriesandaddressingallthecrisesandthecontroversialissueswithexcellentprofessionalismthathasbenefitedtheChinesepeopleandtheParty’svisionofbalancingforeignrelations,inawaythatpromoteseconomicpartnershipsbetweenChinaandothercountries.ThroughoutmyfrequentvisitstoChina’snorthwesternXinjiangUygurAutonomousRegion,specificallyKashgarPrefecture,IcouldseemyselfhowChinahastranslateditsdistinguishablestrategicrelationswithPakistanintoaconcreterealityofagiganticeconomicprojectthatisworthbillionsofUSdollars,includingahugeeconomiccorridorconnectingChinawithPakistanandthewholeworldunder“BeltandRoad”cooperation.The“BeltandRoadInitiative"takesthehugeeconomiccorridorasalaunchingplatformtoreachmuchwiderprospects,whichletthecorridorachievealotofeconomicbenefitsforbothChinaandPakistan,makingitanimportantarteryfortheinitiative.Thatway,thecorridorreflectshowtheCPCcaresalotforimplementingXi’sphilosophyimpliedintheinitiative,andprovesthatthisphilosophyisforthecommongoodofhumanity,notonlyforChinaassomeclaim.PovertyalleviationledbyCPC:abreakthroughtheworldhasneverseenNodoubtthehugeachievementsChinahasmadeinallfieldsduringthepast10yearslettheChinesepeoplefeelthattheCPCcarriesouteffectiveeconomicandsocialpoliciesinallfields,includinginfrastructureandtheunprecedentedprogressinalltheservicesneededbytheChinesepeopleallovertheChineseprovinces.Thehugeachievementsareclearlyseenintheservicesrelatedtothecitizens’dailymob
